My name is Jake Woods and I am a senior at Foothill Technology High School, and I respect your decisions, but I have a few things to say about it. Now I am going to be flat out on this but I think that you were stupid. Not because you had sex and got pregnant, but that you had sex and got pregnant but you didn't wear a condom. In my opinion you should always wear a condom even if you are only having two seconds of “fun”. Now I am not a person to judge on another person by their actions. Now women do have the right have an abortion, they also have homes for pregnant women to teach them to become a parent. But what you have done is done and I want to point out another solution and what I think you should have done.
Congress has always only given two solutions about teenage pregnancies, keep it or give it up to adoption. Until one day people started wondering why congress does this, isn't it the women’s decision to do what she wants with her body? Well when that baby is cooking in there, isn't that a part of your body? I thought the same thing, so isn't it okay to take care of a situation with your body? Yeah Roe v. Wade was that steer in the kettle pot of pregnancy, which gave you the right to get abortions if you (the woman) wanted to get one or not. Many states hated this when Roe v. Wade first started out because it is against their belief on the situation. Many riots happened and it usually ended up with people getting arrested. People who hated the fact of abortions still go out in front of abortion clinics and yell at you and explain to you that you are killing life and that is going to send you to hell. In the Constitution on amendment 14 it says “All persons born or naturalized in the United States... No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immensities of citizens of the United States”. Why do others hassle one another on an article of a document that was written in 1868?
The other Americans that don’t agree with abortions lie on the two sides, adoption agencies or keeping it for yourself and bless for the amazing gift that was bestowed onto you. Adoptions are good if you really don’t want the baby or cannot care for the child later down on the road, and don’t believe in aborting the child that god has bestowed onto you. But the main problem with adoptions are that you most of the time will fall in love with the child during the pregnancy. And you stop and wonder how you take care of this child that you have brought into this cruel world. Well non funded churches have programs for a newbie parents like the one from the television show 30 days. These programs offer wide verity of help and a taste of the world with a child to take care of. And it can also help you change your own personal life without the child. Say that you are a crack addict and you go and get knocked up, well you can change your personal life for the better by stopping the addiction and help you learn how to take care of your child and maintain a stable environment. So when there is always another solution to your problem.
